Latest from the Janitors, Asps, and Other Books - Bear's War (Asps Series) - MI6 after terrorist planning attacks on England and U.S.

Today’s excerpt is from Bear’s War, Book #5 of the nine-book Asps series.  SIS tracking terrorist planning terrorist actions in England and the USA.  Enjoy and have a fantastic day.

Had von der Shitts known that SIS was closing in on him, he might not have felt so secure.  When the plane Andrew James had been tracking landed in Peshawar, and then went on to Stuttgart, Andrew James wasn’t the only one watching.  The senior SIS agent in the British Embassy in Islamabad was also tracking it.  Once von der Shitts had slipped through his fingers, he had made it his prime concern to make sure all Air Service flights were tracked.  He again mentally thanked Boris and Drew for giving him the capability to do so.   On seeing the plane continuing on to Stuttgart, he had called Tony, who in turn called his senior agent in the Berlin Embassy, and told him that he must, without fail, find out who had come in on the flight.
The senior agent had spent many days over the last year laying the groundwork to have easy access to security tapes of all airports, large and small, in the major German cities available to him.  It was now a rather easy matter to take advantage of all his hard work.  He flew to the same airport the Air Service plane had landed at, and soon had pictures of the five men leaving the airport.  He, of course, recognized von ser Shitts at once.   He immediately called Tony and told him of that development.  He was instructed to have a team in place near the airport for the foreseeable future, and to get the pictures to Tony immediately.
When Tony got the pictures, he recognized only von der Shitts.  Then he thought of the passport photos from the ten unknown men gathered by the Asps.  The four men who had landed with von der Shitts were amongst the ten.  Tony immediately got back to his man in Germany, told him that news, stressed the possibility more men might be coming in and von der Shitts was to be followed if he was there to greet them.  If the SIS team assigned to Stuttgart felt they could apprehend von der Shitts without the German authorities knowing about it, they were told to do so.  But Tony wanted von der Shitts alive, if at all possible.  He also forwarded the pictures of the other six men from the passports, and told his man that the Stuttgart team was to have copies of the photos.

Latest from the Janitors, Asps, and Other Books - Tears And Terrorists (Asps Series) - Dan getting help from Hector and John.

Today’s excerpt is from Tears And Terrorists, Book #4 of the nine-book Asps series.  Hector Garcia and John Engle give Dan some cover as he has a woman long thought dead at Jim’s ranch trying to help her recover from years of neglect.  Enjoy and have a wonderful day.

John Engle was the most recent former FBI Director and a friend of the Janitors, who he had worked closely with on the subject of al-Qaida terrorists within the borders of the United States and beyond.  The same two FBI agents who had called on Dan and Janet had gone back to ask more questions, only to find them gone.  After a few days of fruitless efforts to find them, they had gone to see Hector, who had an office next to (and attached by a connecting door) to Dan’s office.  Hector owned the building and let Dan set up his office in his building at no charge.  While both had investigative operations, they really weren’t in competition and, in fact, helped each other on cases from time to time.  When the FBI agents had questioned Hector about Dan’s whereabouts, Hector had given them nothing.  Telling them that for all he knew, Dan and Janet were off on a case of some sort…which, in and of itself, was not a total lie.  Obviously, the intent was far from honest, because Dan and Hector had talked several times on the phone about the situation with Judy Silverman.
When the FBI agents insisted on being let into Dan’s office, and started nosing around Dan’s computer, Hector shook his head.  “Fellas, I wouldn’t mess with that computer.  It’s about twenty grand worth and has a fail-safe firewall you can’t break.  You get close and the whole thing will literally blow up in your face.”
Undeterred, the two proceeded until Hector called John Engle.  “John, I got a situation here…need some help.  Got two FBI agents nosing around Dan Orf’s office and trying to access his computer.  Since Jim set up the same system for Dan and me he set up for you, you know what’s gonna happen if they get too close.  Would you talk to them for me, please?”
After John agreed, Hector handed his cell phone to one of the FBI agents.  John identified himself as the former FBI director, and after the FBI agent identified himself, John continued, “I strongly suggest you cease and desist from trying to go into that computer.  It is the same system I use, and you cannot get into it…period.  In addition, I personally can attest to the honesty and patriotic nature of Dan Orf…and Hector Garcia.  May I ask just what you are investigating Dan about?”
“Sir, he ran a set of prints of a person presumed dead for many years—someone of great importance, if still alive.”
“And who would that be?’
“Sir, that is a need to know matter.”
“Give the phone back to Hector, please.”
Hector took it.  “I’m here John.”
“Who are they looking for?”
“Judy Silverman.”
“What!  Did you say Judy Silverman?”
“Yeah.”
“Give me back to that agent.”
After taking the phone back from Hector, the agent grumbled, “I’m here, sir.”
“Do you have any idea just who Judy Silverman is and why she is so important?”
“No, sir…other than she’s listed as MIA by the Atomic Energy Agency.  We were just told to find her, and Dan Orf is our best lead.  He saw her in a bar…a rather seedy place…here in Los Angeles, and took a glass she had left behind.  Then he ran the prints to make sure he wasn’t mistaken.  She managed to elude him…so he says.”
“Well I do know who she is, and why she is so important.  I also know you have no right to be going through things in Dan Orf’s office because this is not a matter of National Security.  It’s a matter of International Security.  Now I suggest you get out of there and leave both Hector Garcia and Dan Orf the hell alone.  Report back to your Agent-in-Charge and tell him I made these suggestions.  Further tell him if he doesn’t know who she is and why she’s so important, he should consult with someone who does.  Now, on your way out, please give the phone back to Hector.”
“Yes, sir,” the agent meekly said as he handed the phone to Hector, gave a head nod to his partner, and headed for the door.
Back on the phone, Hector grinned to himself.  “They’re on the way to the door, John.”
“Good.  Do you know who Judy Silverman is and her importance?”
“Yeah.”
“Jim’s big damn computer?”
“Yeah.  Dan used it to get a lead on her.  According to what he found out, she went missing back in the day and everyone thought she went down with the boat she was on, which was trying to sneak in the backdoor of Iran…obviously without authorization by the Iranians to do so.”

Latest from the Janitors, Asps, and Other Books - Fido (Asps Series) - Terrorists ambushed in Costa Rica

Today’s excerpt is from Fido, Book #3 of the nine-book Asps series.  The Asps, SIS, SAS, and friends have ambush ready in Costa Rica for hundreds of terrorists, who fall into the trap.  Enjoy and have a wonderful day.

Sure everything was as ready as it was going to get, Jim sighed.  “Okay, gang, by now the bad guys are coming.  Good luck.”
The wait was on, broken only by the arrival of the raft with Dan’s team.  The three wounded members of the team were attended to by Jack, who announced all three insisted on taking their defensive positions with the others…over his objections, which fell on deaf ears of all three.
Due to the delay caused by the Fidos, it was nearly dark when the first boat reached its landing area.  Though well back from the riverbank, Sergeant Squires and those assigned his area watched as the boat was tied off, and the men aboard started to disembark.  Even as they watched those goings on, the other boat passed behind the first one.  That fact was reported by Sergeant Squires.
Sergeant Squires waited as long as he could—even to the point of letting some of the enemy go past the line of claymores—before he gave warning to his troops.  “Claymores, down everyone.”  He waited a few seconds before he depressed one of the remote control buttons for the claymores.  Hector had set out three rows of claymores:  one at the top of the ridge, leading up from where the boat was tied off; one in the middle of the ridge; and a few mines lower down.  The first button pushed by Sergeant Squires was for the row on top of the ridge.  The effects were traumatic for the terrorists, as nearly a hundred and fifty of them died instantly, while many more were wounded—some to die of those wounds before they could even think to fire a shot.  Sergeant Squires growled, “Stay down, lads—more to come,” as he pressed the second button, then shortly afterwards, the third.
The second row tore into those just off the boat, killing another hundred of the terrorists and wounding several more.  The third row was set up to do damage to the boat, and had been set at various heights, based on what Dan’s team had passed on about the specifications of the boats.  Some of those pellets went through the hull itself and, while they did no real damage…save for one lone pellet that found the fuel tank—they had the effect of damaging the soundness of the hull.  The pellet that found the fuel tank didn’t cause an explosion, but fuel did start to seep out.
Aboard the other boat, they all heard the explosions, but also heard the commencement of fire at the enemy.  The leader of the terrorists was certain what few men the enemy could have there would be overrun and the remainder of his men would close on the camp from that direction, while his force would come at it from the dock area.
He needn’t have been so happy at what was going on behind him.  For even as the last row of claymores exploded, Sergeant Squires gave his orders.  “Alright, lads, give them what for, if you please.  Buggy number one—front and center, please.”

Latest from the Janitors, Asps, and Other Books - NEW RELEASE - Back To China (Other Books) - Jim and 3 pals use B-2 to jump into China to rescue kidnapped scientists.

Today’s excerpt is from Back To China, a NEW RELEASE now available at Amazon’s Kindle Book Store.  Jim Scott and three friends jump into China from the bomb bay of a B-2.  They were to find out soon enough they were surrounded by 20,000 Chinese troops.  Enjoy and have a great day.

NOTE:  While this book is now available at the Kindle Book Store, it is not up yet on the below web site.  Be about a week or so.

A little less than an hour later, the B-2 pilot told Jim to get ready.  A red and green light had been rigged in the bomb bay.  When the red light came on, the four occupants were ready.  Suddenly, they were free falling from thirty thousand feet.  After they passed through the clouds and into the rain, they joined up.  At a little more than five hundred feet, they separated and opened their chutes.  All four landed alongside the resupply road, not ten feet apart.  There was little wind to go with the downpour, so they had their chutes gathered up in short order and went into the tree line, looking for a good place to bury them and the thermal gear covering their other clothing.  The digging was easy, and it didn’t take too long to bury everything.

Latest from the Janitors, Asps, and Other Books - The Zimo Hunt (Asps Series) - Three of the Asps find small terrorist camp in Pakistan.

Today’s excerpt is from The Zimo Hunt, Book #2 of the nine-book Asps Series.  Three of the Asps stumble onto an al-Qaida camp hidden in deep forest inside Pakistan.  One of the terrorists is very high-ranking.  Enjoy and have a fantastic day.

Dusty shook his head.  “We should try to take him alive.  Er…please don’t ask me just how we go about that.”
They waited quietly and thought things over for several minutes.  While they all thought, the man in question went to a far side of the camp, and relieved himself, then headed back for his cave.  The other men in the camp were sitting around, doing not much of anything.  One group of four were at a small fire, and three others were sitting on the ground talking.  The others were either alone or with one other man talking.  Only four of the twelve were on their feet.  After a few more minutes, Bear sighed.  “No way we can each take out four of them before somebody notices bodies dropping.  Hell, we might even wind up with a fight on our hands.  And we sure can’t go for help.  They’ll miss their sentry—and probably the five who were stalking us—long before we could get help.”
Kye joked, “Thanks for stating the obvious, Bear.  Now, how about a solution.”
Dusty grumbled, “There isn’t one.  Bear, you take out the guy standing furtherest to our right.  Kye, you take the next standing one over.  I’ll start on the left, and take the last standing one next.  Bear, when you pop yours, start on the group of four near the fire.  Kye, you start on the group of three.  I’ll start on the rest of ‘em.  Let’s see how it goes.  We’ll just have to play it by ear from there.”
All three took a deep breath, let it out, and started firing.  Six of the terrorists were killed before the others really had time to comprehend what was happening, then they all sprang into action, reaching for weapons and getting up.  Their main problem was they had no idea where the nearly silent shots were coming from.  Two more died before the others started running for the cave.  Only two of the original twelve made it.  Even though those two were now in the dark of the cave, the night vision scopes on the rifles clearly revealed them as they still tried to figure out where the shots were coming from.  Those two died inside the cave before the al-Qaida leader and three others, who had been inside the cave, started firing wildly into the surrounding brush and trees.
As the three friends stopped firing, Bear asked, “Now what?”
Dusty sighed and muttered, “Kill ‘em,” before he squeezed off a shot that killed one of the four men.  Kye and Bear started shooting as well and, in a matter of seconds, the last three men fell in their tracks, also. The three Asps started moving in the direction of the camp from their hiding places.  While Bear and Kye checked the bodies outside the cave, Dusty went inside and checked the six corpses there.
