Today’s
excerpt is from Baghdad Butcher, Book #1 of the Janitors Series. Jim is reported dead. Enjoy and have a wonderful day.

While Jim and
Holly had been climbing the pier ladder, followed by Jim’s shooting feat, the
main occupant of the limo had placed a call from the car. It was placed to Canada, to Thunder Bay,
Ontario. Ramirez/Buribi answered and
listened as his number one in Los Angeles said, “The deed on the fax has been
completed.”
“Both?”
“Yes. We set a trap. Last seen going for a swim in their car. He was already hit by our fire.”
“Doesn’t sound
very healthy. Thank you for the report.”
Without further
words, the connection was broken, and Ramirez/Buribi placed a call to
Washington, D.C. His message was almost
word-for-word the same as the one he had received.
After he hung
up, the man in Washington thought, “I’m surprised Scott walked into their
trap so easily. I wonder if he’s really
dead. I’d be a lot happier if they had
his body.”
The more he
thought about it, the more he worried.
While a dead Jim Scott would be a wonderful thing, an alerted Jim Scott
would be all the more dangerous.
Arriving at that
conclusion, he decided not to call off his warning to Baghdad, and hoped
that Buribi kept his mouth shut as well.
