Today’s
excerpt is from How ‘bout Both, Book #3 of Bader Trilogy. With the terrorists after Elmer, Hector helps
keep him safe…without the police security detail being aware of their presence
most of the time. Enjoy and have a great day.

When they got to
the car, Ken and Stan looked around.
“Guess our security detail left at dawn.
I don’t see anyone around.”
Ruth and Elmer
had one large tree in the back yard, three in the front. They also had a few shrubs. From one of those came, “You aren’t supposed
to see us.”
With the Ghillie
suit the man was wearing to blend in, neither Stan nor Ken—or, for that matter,
Maine or Elmer—could see him. Stan just
shook his head before he got in the car, while the others soon followed. As he drove off, Stan growled, “Damn guys are
good. You know where he was, Elmer?”
“Nope. But the panel truck we just passed probably
has some damned fine equipment. Hector
has more of that kind of stuff than the law allows.”
Ken looked back
as he asked, “How do you know it’s his, Elmer?”
“I’ve seen it,
along with seven more just like it, in his parking garage at his home
office. Wonder what this one has in it?”
What it and the
one parked around the corner in the other direction had were smellers, capable
of detecting explosives. Hector would
later tell Elmer about it when asked. He
would also tell Elmer every move Elmer made with Stan and Ken was observed by
someone of his team, starting with his release from the hospital. Stan never noticed the car following him…that
morning or at any other time.
