That taken care
of, the action planning began in earnest.
They settled on having ten snipers at the big camp, and using five
snipers at each of the other, smaller camps.
They wanted the snipers in place before any action took place. Then the main force would hit the first
camp. The job of the snipers at the
other camps was to keep them pinned down as well as possible if they received
word that the biggest camp was under attack.
Then the force would move on down the line. Fortunately the largest camp was at one end
of the line of camps.
Then Jim sat
back, shook his head, and rubbed his forehead.
“Naw. These camps are close
enough that we better hit them all at once—just have to divide our troops
according to camp size.”
Terry Ward
nodded. “I was about to suggest the same
thing, Jim. We alert the other four
camps while hitting the first one and we’d have the ‘devil’s own time’ keeping
them contained.”
Jim
grinned. “You could have spoken up
sooner and saved all the wasted time.”
“Just wanted to
see how smart my leader is.”
